ANGUISH in Ashaka community of of Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta state following the devastating death of a 33-year old man simply identified as Daniel Atedhe, has been hacked by an unknown assailant in the area.
It was gathered,that Daniel died Monday night, after his attacker hit him on his head with a block.
The circumstances surrounding the incident could however, not be ascertained at press time.
The deceased’s cousin, George Atedhe, said: “On Monday night at about 11pm, my uncle came and knocked at my door. He said he received a call on mobile phone that some persons had killed his son.
“We had to rush to the place and on getting there, we saw that the boy was already dead. They used a block to hit him on the head. We then went to the police station to report the matter”.
Contacted, Police Public Relations Officer of the State command, Mr. Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident and said two persons were killed.
“The man that killed the first person, it was like unknown hoodlums ambushed him and also killed him”, he said.
